Use Case Studio is the world's first word processor specifically designed for authoring use cases. Until now analysts have predominantly used Microsoft® Word to author their use cases. While Microsoft Word is an excellent tool for writing documents, it is not well suited to writing use cases because the UML® specifies certain rules for use cases that simply do not work in a document-based environment. Software manufacturers that have tried to solve this problem in the past have done so by creating form-based use-case editors. While these solutions overcome the technical problem of incorporating the UML in to the use-case specification the solutions are awkward to use, and hinder the analysts productivity.
